Until now the Free plan had no agent path at all: an agent connecting over MCP with a Free org’s credential was refused at the consent gate, because Free has no spend controls to consent through. The only way to try the agent surface was to pay first.
Free now includes one agent loop a month, as a hard allowance rather than a billing surface: 5 training runs, 1 timing refresh and 1K scored records over MCP, per org, per calendar month. No card, no overflow, nothing to opt into. The human path is unchanged: the console’s daily and weekly run limits still apply, and Free still has no live scoring API key.
A failed run never consumes a count. At the line, the refusal is structured,
not prose: it names the exhausted allowance, the reset date, the Pro price by
its lookup key and the upgrade URL, so an agent can report it exactly. The
train_model, score_records and timing refresh tool descriptions carry the
allowance and the refusal shape, so the price travels with the primitive.
