The assistant used to be a bar across the bottom of every page, with a drawer that covered the page and a thread that died on reload and on a visit to Settings. Every console in the reference set docks its assistant on the right, and now so does ax1om’s.
The panel sits under the top bar at 440px, resizable between 360 and 560. On a wide window it pushes the page rather than covering it; on a narrow one it overlays; below 768px it is a sheet. Ctrl or Cmd and I opens and closes it, Escape walks down the ladder (a menu that is open, the page control that has focus, the composer, then the panel), and focus returns to where it came from.
Two tabs. Assistant is the conversation, now styled on the console’s tokens. Learn holds the explainers that used to open in a second drawer, so an answer and the page it cites can be read side by side. The thread persists per org, per tab, through a reload or a visit to Settings or Pricing; New conversation clears it. The command palette gained an “Ask the assistant” row, and the help chips reduce to “Report a bug” and “What can ax1om do?”.
